A 54-year-old man is facing impaired charges after fleeing from police on Monday.
Shortly before 8 p.m., police located an ATV in Chapel’s Cove where the driver was suspected to be drunk.
Police attempted to pull the off-road vehicle over, but the vehicle sped off.
An officer set up at the residence of the operator and waited for him to come home. He was dropped off a short time later by another motorist, where police arrested him.
He faces charges of flight from police and impaired driving, after blowing two and a half times the legal limit.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
