The province’s Francophone School Board has a new director of education.
Selena Mell, originally from Quebec, is a graduate of Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. She earned a masters of education degree from Gonzaga University in Washington State, and a doctorate from William Howard Taft University in Colorado.
She has worked in the United Arab Emirates, Chile, the UK and China. She returned to Canada in 2020.
Mell replaces former director Kim Christianson who resigned from the position late last year.
Mell takes over the position on October 3rd.
