Police in St. George’s on the West Coast are investigating reports of a suspicious vehicle that is said to have followed a child in the area.
The incident happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
RCMP say a child was followed by a truck with the occupants motioning for them to enter.
The truck, last seen in St. George’s, is described as a blue Dodge Ram with an aftermarket bumper. They say the truck was in good condition without any rust and did not have a cap, tonneau cover, or a hitch. However, a dark-coloured substance that looked like grease, did appear to be leaking down over the tailgate.
The two men in the vehicle are described as being older, with full heads of hair and no facial hair. Both were wearing blue shirts and the passenger had sunglasses on.
Parents are asked to talk to their children about what to do in such situations. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
