The NDP is concerned about the lack of affordable housing in the province.
Leader Jim Dinn says a recent CCPA report on housing echoes concerns he has heard from those working minimum wage jobs and seniors that rental prices keep going up and up, pricing out many.
He says the report highlights the minimum wage index compared to the cost of living, as well as the supply of non-market housing.
Dinn says with affordable housing on the market, there is an issue that needs to be addressed.
He says if you are already on the margins, an increase of even $50 a month can be too much.
