A 44-year-old man from Hare Bay is facing charges following a frightening hit and run incident in Bonavista North on the weekend.
RCMP say two women were taken to hospital for treatment after the car they were in was forced off the road after being rammed repeatedly from behind by another vehicle.
Police found the overturned vehicle in a ditch with the two women inside between New-Wes-Valley and Greenspond mid-day Sunday.
The 44-year-old man was arrested in Pound Cove and faces charges including failing to remain at the scene of an accident with injuries.
The suspect vehicle was also seized. The investigation continues and more charges are expected.
The accused is schedule to return to court in February.
