Resource Enforcement Officers are conducting an investigation into a caribou poaching incident near Loon Bay in Notre Dame Bay.
A fresh caribou paunch was found on the Loon Bay Access Road, an area closed to caribou hunting.
Evidence at the scene suggested that the animal was killed sometime between the evening of Monday, December 11th, and the morning of Wednesday, December 13th.
