The NL Winter Games are disputing information on social media indicating athletes from northern Labrador were forced to sleep on the floor Saturday night.
Multiple posts on social media alleged the athletes were not provided with a bed.
In a statement to VOCM News, the games says it has ensured all athletes had appropriate bedding for their games experience, and athletes from all regions were asked to bring an air mattress they could use during their stay.
Athletes who were coming by plane with baggage restrictions were provided with either an air mattress or cot upon arrival, and will keep them for the remainder of the games.
