The spring session of the House of Assembly resumes next Monday, but the make-up of the Legislature will look very different from what it was when the fall session adjourned in November.
There is one less seat on the Opposition side after the resignation of former PC leader David Brazil. A by-election in the district of Conception Bay East Bell Island resulted in a loss for the PC’s with the Liberals gaining a seat, won by Fred Hutton.
In the meantime, there are two vacancies on the government side of the house with the recent resignation of long-time MHA for Baie Verte-Green Bay, Brian Warr, and the passing of former cabinet minister Derrick Bragg.
