Gas prices are up this morning.

The price of gas is up by 3.8 cents per litre while diesel is up by 4.7 cents.

The Public Utilities Board says the price adjustment reflects the scheduled increases to the federal carbon tax.

The carbon tax rate for propane heating fuel increases from 10 cents per litre to 12.38 cents per litre.

Furnace and stove oil are currently exempt from the federal carbon tax.
