Canada has lost for the first time at the World Men’s Curling Championship 7-6 to Italy in an extra end.
Canada trailed for most of the match, but tied on a couple of occasions, however each time they did so, Italy emerged with the hammer in the very next end.
The key blow was a two-point end early in the match for Italy.
The Gushue rink is now 3-1. They’ll play New Zealand tomorrow morning at 4:30 island time.
