The capital city will be observing National Indigenous Peoples Day.
That means all city offices and recreation facilities will be closed today.
However, garbage and recycling collection will still go ahead. Robin Hood Bay will be open for commercial users only.
It is not a shops closing holiday, so all parking by-laws are still in effect and street cleaning will continue as normal.
The Visitor Information Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenmount Park and Quidi Vidi Lake.
Splash pads will be open at the Kenmount Terrace Community Centre and Bannerman Park.
