A 27-year-old man is dead following of a dirt bike crash in Fortune.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near the Lion’s Club in the Burin Peninsula town around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say evidence suggests the bike veered onto the gravel shoulder before going out of control and crashing.
The victim’s name has not been released.
