Two people have been arrested after forcing their way into a Corner Brook home, assaulting the resident, and taking off with several items.
RNC say the man and woman forced their way into the apartment on Riverhead Road around 6:30 Saturday morning. The 20-year-old man living there suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by the duo who then fled the scene with a number of stolen items.
The 29-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were arrested by police later that evening.
The man has been charged with robbery and breach of court orders, while the woman faces charges of robbery and failure to comply with a release order. Both were held for court.
Police say the incident was a targeted attack, but are asking anyone with information to come forward.
