Tomorrow is “Test Your Smoke Alarm Day” across the country.
“Saved by the Beep” is a national call to action to ensure all smoke alarms in your home are in good working order. In Newfoundland and Labrador, such alarms are required to be installed in every room of a residence including cottages, RVs, trailers and vacation homes.,
Last year, they were about 750 reported fire-related incidents in the province including residential structure fires and electrical fires. Five people lost their lives.
