The latest celebrity in the town of CBS will participate in the ceremonial puck drop at Saturday night’s match-up between the CBS Junior Renegades and the Mount Pearl Blades.
Joshua the goat famously escaped his tether at Taylor’s Pumpkin Patch in CBS last weekend, and joined runners in the annual T’Railway Trek marathon—even earning a medal at the finish line.
His exploits went viral and caused the coaching staff of the CBS Junior Renegades to reach out to see what his availability might be ahead of Saturday’s game.
Head Coach Dave Eason says the players are excited and they’re looking forward to a big turn out.
He says the idea to reach out came from Barry Smith, a member of the Renegades’ coaching staff.
The official puck drop goes ahead tomorrow at 7:10 at the CBS Arena.
