The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary will be increasing its enforcement initiatives this Thanksgiving weekend as part of ‘Operation Impact.’
The Constabulary says that through checkpoints and radar enforcement, officers will target dangerous behaviours such as impaired driving, aggressive driving, distracted driving, and seatbelt violations.
The theme of Operation Impact this year is ‘Safety Is In My Hands,’ which police say reminds drivers that they have a role to play in ensuring everyone can make it home to their families.
Anyone who witnesses dangerous driving should contact police.
