An American man charged with sexual assault at a St. John’s hotel will remain behind bars at least until Thursday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Raekwon Holliman made a brief appearance in provincial court on Friday and was returned to jail.
Police were called to the unnamed hotel around 3 a.m. Friday morning following a report that a woman had been assaulted.
She was located by police and taken to hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The accused was arrested shortly after noon on Friday before appearing in court.
He now has a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday morning.
