Premier John Hogan says Newfoundland and Labrador’s energy potential is the envy of the rest of Canada.
Hogan is just back from meeting with the Prime Minister and his provincial and territorial counterparts in Saskatchewan.
Hogan provided an update to industry officials at the Energy NL Conference in St. John’s this morning.
“I can tell you” says Hogan, “all the other provinces are envious of what Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer. Our oil and gas, hydroelectricity, our wind and hydrogen potential. While Canadians are being encouraged to ‘dream big, ‘ and we are, we have real projects in all sectors of our energy industry, and they’re right in front of us.”
He says the provincial government is committed to resource development as a key economic driver.
