A 47-year-old driver has been arrested after taking flight from police in the airport town.
RCMP attempted to pull the man’s vehicle over on Armstrong Boulevard in Gander around 1:30 Tuesday morning.
The driver, who had a passenger on board, failed to stop for police and ran through a number of stop signs before pulling off the road at a nearby residential property.
Police arrested the driver when he stepped out of the vehicle.
He was released from custody to appear in court in October on a charge of flight from police. He was also ticketed for performing stunts while driving and having an expired licence.
