A man is facing several charges after beating another in the capital city last night.

RNC rushed to the scene after a man was found unconscious after being punched, kicked, stomped on and choked.

The victim told officers that the man, who had already left the scene, said he was going to kill him.

The suspect, a 40-year-old man, was located nearby. He was intoxicated and had blood all over his hand.

He was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault by choking and uttering threats.

He was held for court.
