RCMP in Gander are investigating reports of shots fired at a home in Aspen Cove late last week.
Police were contacted around 3:00 Friday afternoon about multiple shots fired at a home on the Main Road in Aspen Cove.
RCMP from the Gander, Glovertown and New-Wes-Valley detachments attended the scene and contained the area, while traffic and area residents were prevented from getting close to the scene.
Two men, aged 42 and 24, were taken into custody without incident, and a firearm was removed from the scene.
A search of the area uncovered evidence of damage caused consistent with the discharge of a firearm. No injuries were reported.
RCMP say the 42-year-old man was released unconditionally without charge, while the 24-year-old was released on conditions to appear in court December 2nd on a charge of careless use of a firearm.
More charges are possible as the investigation continues.
