Ottawa has announced over $38-million over the next three years to support businesses involved in the defence sector.

The Regional Defence Investment Initiative is designed to help small and medium sized businesses expand their capabilities, boost productivity, and connect to defence supply chains both in Canada and abroad.

The federal government says the program will help more businesses pursue certifications, invest in advanced technologies, and compete for contracts.
