A wanted man who was trying to lay low from police is back in custody after a foot chase in the wee hours.
Officers on patrol spotted the man of interest walking down the road just after 2:00 this morning. When he caught a glimpse of police, he bolted, however he did not get very far.
The 41-year-old was arrested on two outstanding warrants – one on charges of possession of property obtained by crime and a second in connection with a theft back in November.
He spent the night in the lockup.
