A song co-written by a Newfoundlander has climbed to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
Songwriter and producer Peter Daniel Newman who lives in St. John’s, but signed with SONY Music Publishing Nashville has co-written a number of songs for artists around the world and now his work on Parmalee’s single “Cowgirl” has reached the number one spot.
Newman was presented with a Gold Record last year to commemorate the Record Industry Association of America’s Gold Certification after Megan Moroney’s album ‘Lucky’ sold more than 500,000 copies.
