The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is getting into the spirit of giving as members prepare for their annual Shop with a Cop holiday program.

RNC Constable Steph Myers says it’s something they always look forward to in partnership with the Avalon Mall.

“A couple of lucky students will go shop for their friends and family and spend time with us…our Community Services Team will be out, I’ll be out there as well, and I’m sure we’ll sneak in a few extra treats and surprises for them. So we’re looking forward to that.”

The event gets underway this morning as the stores in the mall open, and VOCM’s News will be tagging along.
