Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year with two events planned in the metro to mark the occasion.
The Chinese Association of Newfoundland and Labrador will be welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse.
This is also the 50th anniversary of the association’s formation in this province.
One event is a gala on Saturday at the St. John’s Convention Centre with live music, a Chinese buffet, and a presentation of the Broadway musical “Frozen.” The gala is already sold out.
The second gathering, Family Fun Day, happens on Sunday at the Royal Canadian Legion in Pleasantville.
