A man banned from driving tried to make a get away from police on his snowmachine resulting in a number of charges against him.
RCMP noticed the man driving his snowmobile on a road without a helmet just after 5:00 last Friday afternoon.
The incident happened in the community of Glovertown.
Police say the driver, who was known to them, was on a Canada-wide driving ban.
When the officer tried to pull him over, he turned onto a trail and disappeared into the woods.
Patrols were conducted and the man was found at his home in Traytown the following day.
Forty-year-old Kurtis Penney is facing charges of flight from police, driving while prohibited and failing to comply with a probation order.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in March.
