There will be no public sector layoffs in the upcoming provincial budget.
That’s according to premier Tony Wakeham, who was questioned about the potential for layoffs in the House of Assembly yesterday.
Dinn asked Wakeham if he would commit to not cutting public service employees and services in the budget.
Wakeham says they will not be talking about job cuts, and they will be instead working to make sure people are getting the compensation they deserve.
