The long-time former general manager of the Community Food Sharing Association has passed away.
Egbert, commonly known as Eg, Walters passed away at his home on Sunday surrounded by family. He was 77.

Walters served with the Community Food Sharing Association for more than three decades, a job his family calls one of his passions.
The Food Sharing Association says he was widely respected for his humility, kindness and “unwavering commitment” to community service.
A celebration of Walters’ life will take place next Monday, May 11th at the Mazol Shriners on Topsail Road from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
