Muslims all over the world are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice.
The Muslim Association of NL is expecting more than 6,000 people for morning prayers at the new Mosque, which is located in the former Mary Queen of Peace Church on Torbay Road.
Because of the large number of people expected, MANAL is holding three prayer services – one at 6:00 am, another at 6:45, and the last one at 8:30.
MANAL President Haseen Khan says the RNC will be helping with traffic control.
Khan says they didn’t want to inconvenience commuters or area residents.
