A woman has been charged after a concerned resident alerted police to the possibility of an impaired driver on the Bell Island ferry.
RCMP were contacted Monday afternoon about a woman on the ferry who was under the influence.
Officers stopped the woman she was attempting to drive her vehicle off the ferry.
She was accused of blowing twice the legal limit.
Her licence was suspended and her vehicle was seized.
She was released to appear in court at a later date.
