Over $32-million has been set aside for drinking and wastewater upgrades in eastern and central Newfoundland.
The money comes from the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund, which is cost shared among all three levels of government.
There are 17 projects in total, including $7.6-million for a new water treatment plant in Lumsden, over $5-million for a new water storage tank and standpipe upgrades in Grand Falls-Windsor, $4.4-million for phase three of a water treatment plant project in Torbay, and $2.5-million for various water and sewer upgrades in Whitbourne.
