RCMP will provide an update tomorrow on the ongoing investigation into wildfires that decimated the Conception Bay North Shore one year ago.
A series of destructive fires started in May of last year in the Adam’s Cove area.
But a fire that started in Kingston in August, fanned by high winds and fueled by tinder-dry vegetation, burned through 11 communities and destroyed some 200 structures before finally being brought under control weeks later.
RCMP indicated that the fires were suspicious in nature.
Inspector Adam Palmer, the officer in charge of investigative support for the RCMP, will speak with reporters tomorrow morning at 11:00 on the ongoing investigation.
VOCM News will be there.
