A 32-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court in December after allegedly assaulting an elderly man in Bonavista.
RCMP were called at 9:00 a.m. on Monday after the senior reported that a confrontation had occurred at his home and that he knew the assailant.
Police located and arrested the suspect, who was released on conditions pending his court appearance.
The investigation continues.
