A woman has been charged with impaired following a hit-and-run in Carbonear over the weekend.
RCMP were called just after 8:30 Saturday evening to a home on London Road after a vehicle crashed into a parked car and left the scene.
The caller suspected that the driver involved may have been impaired.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description provided parked nearby.
Police say the driver, a 57-year-old woman, provided a breath sample that was more than twice the legal limit.
The accused will appear in court in December. Her license was suspended and the vehicle impounded.
