Newfoundlanders and Labradorians will find out who the next leader of the Liberal Party will be this evening.
The two candidates, Andrew Furey and John Abbott, have had a unique race as they altered their campaigns amidst the pandemic.
A virtual Annual General Meeting will take place from the Convention Centre in St. John’s at 3:15 p.m.
Following the meeting, a tribute to Dwight Ball will kick off at 5:30 p.m. Ball will address viewers from Deer Lake.
Dwight Ball was elected as the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2015.
The leadership results will be announced at 6 p.m. from the Convention Centre. The premier-designate and the unsuccessful candidate will address the media following.
The deadline for voting in the Liberal Party leadership is today at noon.
