An animal that seldomly makes its way to the island, made an appearance on the weekend.

A large sea turtle was spotted near Dildo on Sunday.

It was caught on camera swimming slowly near the shore.

Meanwhile, a photo of some fishermen’s catch off Bay de Verde also caught a lot of attention on Facebook.

The tuna fish was believed to weigh between 500 and 700 pounds.
