One police officer’s efforts to help a mother and her young ones has gone viral.
Jody Foss tweeted out video of a traffic tie-up on the CBS bypass Wednesday evening.
The video shows an officer holding traffic in both directions on the four-lane highway. At first, the reasons for the tie-up are not clear. Until the officer moves to the grassy median and can be seen swinging his arms as if to move something along.
It all becomes clear when up from the median pops a duck and a long line of ducklings.

The family makes it safely across the highway and traffic was allowed to resume.
People on social media are praising the officer’s actions.
