You don’t see it too often but a boater has been charged with impaired as RCMP officers were waiting when the boat came ashore.
The 62-year-old man, who is from the Northern Peninsula, was the only person on the boat when RCMP met him Tuesday afternoon in Gunners Cove.
He failed a breath test at the scene and was then transported to the St. Anthony detachment of the RCMP.
His driver’s licence was suspended and he will be back in court in September.
