Dominion store workers in the province have reached a tentative collective agreement, narrowly avoiding strike action.
The original strike deadline was 12:01 a.m. this morning.
Little is known about the collective agreement publicly at this time, as details will not be released until the agreement is ratified.

Unifor Local 597 President Carolyn Wrice says one of the big things leading into the negotiations was getting more full-time jobs for workers.
She elaborates on the situation, saying that over a year ago, Loblaws made cuts to full-time positions, making over 83 per cent of the workforce part-time. She says they wanted to get some full-time jobs back.
Wrice notes that the agreement still needs to be ratified with a vote from members, so the deal isn’t set in stone yet.
She says the details are being put together “as we speak” and as soon as it is reviewed it will go to a vote.
