Main Street in Corner Brook has reopened following a collision that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

The RNC offers its thanks to drivers for following the directions of officers on the scene as the route was closed for some time.

Police say a person is being treated for serious injuries following a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Corner Brook, Friday evening.

First responders were called to the intersection of Main Street and West Street after 5 p.m.

RNC closed down a portion of Main Street, and directed drivers to avoid the area.

An investigation is underway.
