Police are investigating an apparent case of arson after a vehicle was set alight early this morning.

The incident happened before 3:00. Surveillance footage captured from a nearby building shows two people approaching a car parked overnight in the lot of a business on Topsail Road. They pause outside the car, and appear to toss something inside.

Moments later, the interior of the car ignites.

The RNC confirms that several vehicles were damaged as result of the initial fire, which has been deemed suspicious.
