MHA and Minister Sarah Stoodley made a little history in the House of Assembly yesterday, introducing her 12-day-old son Alexander to the legislature.
A recent change to the House rules opened the doors to newborns, allowing new moms like Stoodley to continue to attend sittings and still be there for her baby during the all-important first days of his life.
Stoodley said she couldn’t have been more proud of Alexander’s performance for his first day on the job. She says he was very quiet and respectful, adding she tried not to clap too loudly during Question Period for fear of waking him up.
