Striking Dominion workers have moved their picket line to force Loblaw to take action on the issue.
Yesterday Unifor, which represents the workers, created a 24-hour picket line at the Loblaw Distribution Warehouse on Clyde Avenue in Mount Pearl.
Chris MacDonald, the lead negotiator with Unifor in the talks with Loblaw, says a fence that was erected at each of the two entrances at the warehouse facility was done out of concern for the safety of workers. Yesterday afternoon, a chain link fence was delivered to the site and set up by Unifor members.

He says they had to call the police because trucks were approaching the site and workers, noting that at one point a truck was out in the middle of the road blocking traffic. MacDonald says the fence was brought in so they could keep the situation safe.
