There are two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province today.
One case is travel-related, involving a man in his 40s in the Eastern Health region who had returned to the province from work in Ontario.
The source of the second case is still under investigation. It involves a woman in her 50s in the Eastern Health region. The woman is a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, and an update on the case will be provided as it becomes available.
All close contacts have been advised to quarantine and the woman involved is self-isolating.
The province has nine active cases of COVID-19 including one person who is in hospital.
To date, 57,151 people have been tested for the virus.
