The search is on in Corner Brook for a rescue dog that went missing not long after arriving from the United States.
Sable, a nine-year-old German Shepherd-Hound mix, was rescued from what she calls a “kill shelter” in Texas.
Jesika Boyde adopted the animal and was set to meet her for the first time on Sunday. However, the dog bolted from the van during the transfer of another animal, and never had a chance to meet her new family.
Boyde explains that Sable is in a strange place where she doesn’t know anybody and that she is scared. Because of this, the dog is becoming aggressive and they are asking people not to approach her and to report her location.
She says the entire city is on the lookout for Sable and she isn’t giving up hope.
Boyde says the dog didn’t ask to come here, and that she will not forget about her. She says if people see Sable, they are asked not to approach her as she is getting aggressive, people are asked to report the sighting.
There is a Facebook group dedicated to Finding the dog called Help Find Sable (Corner Brook, NL) Nov 15, 2020
