A St. John’s man has mother nature to thank for helping to restore a horse shelter that was turned upside down early in the fall.
Stephen Martin says a wind storm completely overturned the structure back in October.
The shelter is located on a portion of the property the horses don’t use this time of year, so Martin decided to leave it until the spring to fix.
Yesterday morning, Martin was out checking on the other animals he has when he noticed that the shelter had been turned right side up.
He questioned other members of his family to see if they had worked to flip the structure, but none of them had.
They came to the conclusion that it was the strong winds experienced Tuesday night that lifted the shelter and put it just a short distance from its original position.
Martin jokes that following such a lucky turn of events, he and his family should go buy a lottery ticket.
