Several RCMP units raced to the community of Mount Carmel this morning after reports of a man with a gun outside his home.
The call came in just after 11 a.m. and the situation was diffused shortly thereafter when the man surrendered “quickly and voluntarily,” according to police.
He was taken into custody without incident and two airsoft weapons were seized at the scene.
No one was hurt but police continue to investigate what precipitated the incident.
