Two men are facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Gander earlier this week.

24-year-old Darryl Sheppard and 26-year old Joey Reid, both from Seldom on Fogo Island, were arrested for possession for the purpose of drug trafficking after police conducted a traffic stop on Byrd Avenue in Gander on Wednesday afternoon.

Police stopped the unregistered truck after it failed to stop at a stop sign. Officers observed suspected cocaine inside the vehicle, arrested both men and searched the truck.

RCMP say the search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Both men were released to appear in court April 6th.
