The Food Inspection Agency of Canada has recalled several items under the Clover Leaf Seafoods brand due to possible foodborne botulism.
The items include Clover Leaf brand Sardines Boneless Fillets – Garlic & Chive in Oil and Sardines Boneless Fillets – Smoked Jalapeño in Oil.

They say eating the contaminated products could lead to symptoms such as facial paralysis or loss of facial expression, unreactive or fixed pupils, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, difficulty with speech, generalized weakness and paralysis or even death.
If you have the recalled products in your home they should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
If you think you are or have been sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor. So far, there have been no reported illnesses associated with this recall.
